Hướng dẫn viết bài Process trong IELTS Writing Task 1

Thời gjan gần đây đề thi IELTS thường hay rơi vào Process – dạng bài mà các sĩ tử đều khóc khi nhìn thấy. Với bài viết này,mình hi vọng các bạn sẽ cười khi thấy dạng bài “dễ thương” này nhé.
Trong IELTS Writing task 1 có 2 dạng bài về Process là

Manufaturing process (MP)

Natural Process (NP)

I. Những điều cần Lưu ý

Về thì của động từ

NP thường dùng Active Form
MP thường dùng Passive Form

Về Verb Tense thì thường là Present Tense
Sử dụng đa dạng cấu trúc câu và ngôn ngữ

Firstly/First/To start with/To begin with/Initially + Clause
Next/Then/Afterwards/Subsequently/After that/Following that/At the next stage + Clause
Finally/Lastly
The first step | is involved + Ving| when + ClauseVí dụ: To begin with, the food is processed. The next step is when it is packed. Finally, it is delivered

Bạn có thể nhận thấy rất rõ ràng rằng đây là Manufacturing process vì nó hầu hết đều dùng Bị Động
Các bạn có thể thay thế các cụm từ in đậm = những cụm từ tương đồng trong mục 3.

Sử dụng từ và cụm từ tương đồng

Trong 1 bài viết IELTS, điều tối kỵ nhất là repeat lại nhiều lần 1 từ kể cả cho nó có là commom đến mấy.
Ví dụ:
Commence = Begin = Start
At the same time = While = As = Simultaneously

Language for Introduction

Như đã nói ở mục 3, phần I thì ta phải sử dụng đa dạng các cấu trúc. Trong phần 3 mục I, mình đã đưa ra các cấu trúc để bắt đầu miêu tả các bước của 1 process. Sau đây là 1 vài cách mở bài.

The flowchart/The diagram/Timeline
The diagram demonstrates/shows the procedures/The various stages/steps in producing a TV

The diagram shows each stage of producing the TV

Tuy nhiên bạn cần chú ý những điểm sau:

Không được sao chép lại câu hỏi vì nó sẽ được đếm và trừ đi trong tổng số chữ bạn viết
Nó phải thật ngắn gọn để tránh lãng phí thời gian

Topic: The diagram below shows how the Australian Bureau of Meteorology collects up-to-the-minute information on the weather in order to produce reliable forecasts.
Essay: The ﬁgure illustrates the process used by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology to forecast
the weather.
Useful structure:
X=The chart/diagram….

X (shows/describes/illustrates) how + clause

E.g: The diagram below shows how salt is removed from sea water to make it drinkable

X (shows/describe/illustrates) + noun

E.g: The charts below show the result of public survey
Note: Illustrate thường được dùng cho diagram để miêu tả 1 quá trình gì đó
E.g: The diagram illustrates the various stages in the desalination of seawater to make it suitable for drinking

X (provides/gives) information about……….
