• To cut back on: cắt giảm (to consume less of something)

Example: I’m trying to cut back on fried food.

• To cut off: cắt ngang một cách đột ngột (to end abruptly, usually driving or speaking)

Example: We were cut off in the middle of our conversation.

• To drop by/in: ghé qua (to stop by for a visit)

Example: I thought I'd drop in on you while I was passing.

• To end up: quyết định, kết cục (to eventually decide or reach something)

Example: We ended up just ordering pizza and not going to a restaurant.

• To fill in: cung cấp thông tin (to provide information, usually spoken)

Example: I missed the meeting. Can someone fill me in?

• To get around: trì hoãn làm việc gì đó (to delay doing something)

Example: One day I’ll get around to cleaning the garage, but not today.

• To get back at: trả đũa, trả thù (to get revenge on someone)

Example: My sister gets my shoes to get back at me for taking her coat.

• To hang on: tạm dừng cuộc trò chuyện (to pause a conversation)

Example: Can you hang on for just a sec while I check this message?

• To pull over: tấp xe vào lề (to steer the vehicle to the side of the road and stop)

Example: She saw the ambulance coming up behind her and pulled over.

• To put off: trì hoãn (to postpone something)

Example: We've had to put off our wedding until September.
