  • Aboriginal (adj) /ˌæbəˈrɪdʒənl/: ban sơ, nguyên thủy (a member of a race of people who were the first people to live in a country, before any colonists arrived)

         Exp: “The Arunta are an aboriginal tribe from central Australia.”

 

  • Ancestor (n) /ˈæn.ses.tər/: tổ tiên (any member of your family from long ago, for example, the grandparents of your grandparents)

         Exp: “She’s studying the language and customs of the Hopi Indians.”

 

  • Depravity (n) /dɪˈpræv.ə.ti/: sự trụy lạc, sa đọa (the state of being morally bad, or an action that is morally bad)

         Exp: “People were shocked by the depravity of her actions.”

 

  • Heritage (n) /ˈher.ɪ.tɪdʒ/: di sản (features belonging to the culture of a particular society, such as traditions, languages, or buildings)

         Exp: “The organization is devoted to preserving our cultural heritage.”

 

  • Identity (n) /ɑɪˈden·tɪ·t̬i/: nét nhận diện, nét đặc trung, đặc tính (the qualities of a person or group that make them different from others)

         Exp: “Companies often spend a fortune on branding in their attempts to communicate their identity.”
